Class Policies
REGISTRATION
Althea's classes are by appointment only. Please call 905-875-6881 to arrange your class, or Contact Althea.
Class registration is done on a first come, first serve basis. Spaces are limited in each class. You may request to be on a waiting list if the class is full.
Pricing
Ongoing Group Classes:
4 to 6 people
Pricing TBA / 2 hr lesson / pay for four lessons at a time
Ask about discount fees for more than one person from a family.
Ongoing Private Classes:
1 person
Pricing TBA / 2 hr lesson
Ongoing Semi-Private Classes:
2 people
Pricing TBA / 2 hr lesson
Workshops:
Workshops vary in duration and price. Please refer to the Selection of Workshops: Sewing Classes or Cake Art Classes.
Fun Camps
Sewing Camp: 5 x 3hr classes @ Pricing TBA / lesson
Cake Art Camp: 5 x 3hr classes @ Pricing TBA / lesson
Please note: A list of requirements will be given upon registration.
Ask about taking one or two lessons if need be.
PAYMENT Method
Cash, cheque and e-transfers. Payment in full for the course is due at the time of registration. To register call 905 875 6881. If e-transfers are done, do not forget to send an email or call with your security code/password. Once your payment is cleared you will get a confirmation.
Missed Classes
Students taking ongoing classes will get a make-up class if I am informed that they were going to be away. Please let me know as soon as possible as other students are waiting to take the spot. You will be charged for the class if you do not call. There will be no make-up classes for workshops and camps due to the short duration of the sessions.
SCHEDULE CHANGES
Students attending workshops or camps cannot make up a session due to the short duration of the class. Students from ongoing classes have a chance to make up a class if I know that they are not coming early. This will give me a chance to schedule a class for someone who wants it. Call to book a makeup class within one week of absence.
REFUNDS
Class registration fees are non-refundable. Refunds are not offered for any workshop, or camps.
However if the class is cancelled you would get a full refund or get a credit towards another class. You may, however send someone else in your place if you are unable to attend.
Class/Workshop/camp Content
Yours Truly Althea reserves the right to make changes to the classes, camps and workshops. Changes would be made when it is deemed that it will improve the quality of the learning experience for the majority of customers. If you have any questions about the products, you may of course, contact us.
During a workshop, Althea will teach what you need to know to complete your project. If you could not finish your project in class by the end of the session, you may choose to finish at home. If you do not feel confident to do so, you may arrange to come in to finish with Althea's guidance.
Please note: While every effort is made to ensure the success of our students, natural abilities will vary due to age, attitude and experience. Our goal remains, creating a fun learning experience at all levels.
